CHARGE DOSAGE OF ALUMINA BALLS
During wet grinding process,when charge of alumina balls is up to 55% of net volume of ball mill,the best status can be realized,and the weight of ball body within ball mill can be estimated with formula:
 G=3.14×r2×d×L×20%÷1000
  Gcharge weight of alumina balls(kg)
  rradius of ball mill(cm)
  dcomparatice weight of alumina balls(g/cm3)
  Lnet length of tube body(cm)
In order to improve the grinding ability,the above formula would changed simultaneously due to the difference of grinding aides.
  Wet ball mill smashes materials mainly through grinding instead of shocking.So,the initial ball charge proportion is advised as large size ball 25%,middle size ball 45%,and small size ball 30%,which can get good grinding effect.In practice,the proportion must be adjusted depending on the granularity of raw materisls,diameter and rotary speed of ball mill,so to ensure the best grinding effect and granularity.
