Note: If your water meter is located outside (shaft), do not forget to take the following precautions:

• close the shaft carefully,
• cover the shaft cover with thermal insulation (polystyrene, etc.)
• (if the water meter is set at a non-freezing depth, isolation is not necessary).
• If your meter is located inside the property:
• protect frost-proof pipes, as well as your own water meter, using suitable insulating materials,
• the area where the water meter is located is tightly closed against cold air entering the outside (for example, a broken cellar window and draft can cause freezing and damage to the water meter on freezing days).
