Modicon Quantum 140CRP93200 Remote IO Head
The Remote IO Head Dual Channel module is installed in the same backplane as the system controlling CPU module. The RIO head transfers data bi-directionally between the CPU and Remote IO drop used to interconnect the RIO head module and one or more RIO drop modules.
RIO is based on a coaxial cabling scheme that provides long distance capability up to 5 km (16,400 ft) with Coaxial cable or longer with optional fiber optic cable. It is a high performance network operating at 1.544 Mbits/s for high IO data throughput.
