The 140CRA93200 is a Remote I/O Head dual channel module in the Modicon Quantum series. It is designed for installation in the same backplane along with the controlling CPU modules. This modules transfers data bi-directionally between two modules, the PCU and RIO drop modules which are in separate backplanes. To interconnect this RIO Head module, a coaxial cable network is used along with at least one other RIO drop modules.
Features
The Modicon 140CRA93200 requires 750 mA Bus current. The typical power dissipation is 3 W. There is one ma CRPs supported for this module. With 31 drops, this module works with Quantum 200 Series, 500 Series, 800 Series or SY/MAX (any mix). There are 64 in words/drops and 64 out words/drops.
This module has 2 ports/drop, 32 ports (16 drops) max and requires the use of: AS-P892-000 AS-J892-101/102 or AS-J290-0X0 at the RIO drops.
The Modicon 140CRA93200 Remote I/O Head uses 4 LED indicators. These indicators are Ready, Com Act, Error A, and Error B.
The front of the module at the top is the LED area. Under the LED area is the ROP Coax connector area with Connector A and Connector B. On the side is the version label. The front has a removable hinged door.
How to use a 140CRA93200
This module is used within a local Quantum I/O station. To insert the 140CRA93200 in the local station the first step is to call the Bus Editor and then mark a free slot in the station with the left mouse button. Once the mouse is pointed on the free slot right click to a shortcut menu and choose new device.
The Modicon 140CRA93200 comes with a two-year warranty.
