The 1734-AENTR I/O is a 2 port Ethernet adapter provides Ethernet/IP network connectivity at a rate of 10 to 100 Mbits/s, half or full-duplex. It comes with 2 ports for pass-through, Category 5 RJ-45 connectors that are used to support ring or daisy chain/linear networks, and the existing tree and star network topologies. These Ethernet ports are configured as embedded Switches. The adapter is part of the 1734 series of 2-port communications adapters for POINT I/O modules. It uses messages encapsulated within the standard TCP/UDP/IP protocol.
The 1734-AENTR supports TCP/UDP/IP protocol with physical connection established using Category 5 or Category 6 cable. This adapter supports 10/100 Mbit transmission speed with auto-negotiation function.The 1734-AENTR is a dual Ethernet POINT I/O communication module that is used to interface a POINT I/O rack to the central controller in the Ethernet I/P network. This adapter is capable of being implemented in Ring, Star and Tree Topology and is powered by an External 24VDC supply.
