The Allen-Bradley 1756-L62 is a ControlLogix controller. It contains a user memory of 4 MB and an I/O memory of 478 kb. An optional nonvolatile memory storage is available for this controller. If you want to use nonvolatile memory, you can only use the 128 MB CompactFlash 1784-CF128 that is sold separately. The controller is only compatible with certain 1756 chassis, namely 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and 1756-A17. The 1756-L62 has two types, Series A and Series B.

The 1756-L62 has three main controller tasks, particularly 100 programs per task, 32 tasks, and event tasks: all triggers. It also has an RS-132 serial port built in and can make use of several communicating options. These communication options available are Remote I/O, ControlNet, SynchLink, EtherNet/IP
