The Allen-Bradley 1756-L73 is a ControlLogix 5570 controller. It features 32 tasks and each task holds up to 100 programs. The 1756-L73 controller’s communication options include EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Data Highway Plus, Remote I/O, SynchLink, and third-party network ports. These ports are for programming, configuring, firmware updates, and on-line editing. 



Supported by up to 500 controller connections, the 1756-L73 controller has full support for any controller redundancy with integrated motion, including SERCOS interface and analog options. Its programming languages are Relay Ladder, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, and Sequential Function. The 1756-L73can use up to 8 MB of user memory with 0.98 MB of Input/Output memory. 



In addition, it has 128,000 total and digital I/O and 4000 analog I/O at most. The required current draw at 1.2V DC is 5 mA and 800 mA current draw is required at 5.1V DC. The 1756-L73 has 2.5 W power dissipation and 8.5 BTU/hr thermal dissipation. The isolation voltage is continuous at 30 V with basic insulation, tested at 500V AC for 60s. Using a USB 2.0, it can reach up to 12 Mbps at its full speed. Approximately, it only weighs 0.25 kg with a 1-slot width and an open-style enclosure. The module is chassis-based at any slot for the 1756 chassis series.
