The 1756-OF8 Voltage/Current Output Analog Module by Allen-Bradley is a module with 8 voltage or current analog outputs and it is fitted into any slot of the ControLogix Chassis. It has an output rating of either ± 10V or 0-20 mA with a signal resolution of 15-bits across 21 mA and 15 bits across 10.4V and it has a backplane current of 210mA at 24V DC and 150mA at 5.1V DC with a total power rating of 5.8W. 



The module has a voltage or current output range of either -10-10V or 4-20mA and the maximum power consumption of its circuit is 5.8W. The 1756-OF8 offers a Circuit Detection feature with an over-voltage protection at 24V DC and a short-circuit protection by electronically limiting the current to 21mA or less. 



The module has a scan time of 12ms for floating point and 8ms for integer and has an overall module error of 0.15% (in voltage mode) and 0.3% (in current mode). The1756-OF8 module has an isolation voltage of 250V using reinforced insulation tested 1350V AC for 2s between the output channels and the backplane.
