The Allen-Bradley 1771-NC15 cable connects Remote Terminal Panels (RTPs) to a 1771-N series I/O module. The 1771-N series modules are compatible with the Allen-Bradley PLC-3, PLC-5, and PLC-5/250 programmable controllers. The 1771-N series modules are designed for those applications that require high resolution and immunity from noise. These modules use 16-bit ADCs and 14-bit DACs for achieving high resolution and application accuracy. 




N-series modules provide 1000V isolation between all the channels and this guarantees that common-mode effects on one channel will not affect the other channels. These modules require only a single slot in the I/O chassis, and they do not require an external power supply. Calibration can be performed by the PLC processor and the interval between calibrations should not exceed 1 year.

 



1771-N modules are used in conjunction with remote termination panels (RTP). All wiring for the inputs and outputs is made to the RTP field wiring connectors. Prefabricated cables such as the 1771-NC15 cable then connect the RTPs to 1771-N modules. The 1771-NC15 is a 15-foot (4.6m) prefabricated cable designed for connecting RTPs to 1771-N series modules and 25-pin connectors are attached to both ends of the 1771-NC15 cable.
