The Allen Bradley 1791-DSIB8XOB8 is a DC CompactBlock I/O. This module has 4 sinking inputs and 4 sourcing outputs, meaning the current will flow from input to output.  This module is equipped with several convenient features, including a removable terminal, DIP switches, set rack address, and two types of panel mounting.

The removable terminal allows you to change the wiring by simply retaining the screw and replacing the terminal. The DIP switches set the rack addresses on the module, reducing the commissioning time. Installing this module is easy because the two types of mountings allow this module to be installed in a horizontal or vertical mounting.
