Round electromagnets generate a magnetic field when supplied with power, these electromagnets; sometimes called “holding electromagnets” are used, for example, for holding or carrying magnetic metals. Generally speaking, this type of electromagnets is used when the magnetic field is required to work (magnetic field on) up to 50% of time.
Easy to use electromagnet for lifting and holding applications. These magnets require a power source; when electricity is passed through them they produce a strong magnetic field and when the power is removed, the magnetic field disappears instantly.

2.The electromagnet need to be energised to develop suction force, widely used for holding of ferromagnetic workpieces during machining or assembly, safety mechanisms, selector devices in textiles machinery, door latching holdback devices and etc.
