The Alcatel-Lucent 7705 SAR product line is a perfect fit for the transport needs of the developing mobile radio access network (RAN). The 7705 SAR line supplies resilient convergence capabilities in the mobile RAN with service processing of 2G, 3G, and 4G traffic.
Top of the line scalability and density is found specifically in the Alcatel-Lucent 7705 SAR-8. This platform is a two rack unit (2 RU) version of the 7705 SAR that supports up to 96 T1/E1 Any Service, Any Port (ASAP) ports. The 7705 SAR-8 can be designed, if preferred, with a redundant control and switch module and uplinks. The product has eight slots; two of which are used for control and switch modules (CSM’s), with the outstanding six free for user traffic adapter cards.
