If the Extr/Adm control is programmed not to use the setpoint tracking feature, the setpoint will remain at its last setting (running or shutdown). With this configuration, when Extr/Adm control is enabled and the sensed process signal does not match setpoint, the Extr/Adm control will ramp the Extr/Adm process up or down to match the two signals. When the 505E is powered-up, the setpoint is reset to the ‘Setpt Initial Value’.
