The role of the non-breathable PE film backsheet (also called leak-proof film or bottom film) in diapers is mainly to prevent urine leakage and ensure the absorption and protection performance of diapers. Specifically, the roles of non-permeable films include:
Prevent urine leakage: non breathable poly PE film for diaper usually use impermeable materials (such as polyethylene or polypropylene films), which can effectively prevent urine from leaking from the bottom or sides of diapers, protect baby's skin, and prevent urine from staining clothes or sheets.
Keep dry: The leak-proof film helps diapers prevent liquid from leaking out after absorbing urine, keep the inner layer dry, and reduce the contact between urine and baby's skin, thereby reducing the risk of diaper rash and skin irritation.
