Product Identity
KJ4001X1-NB1 (12P3368X012) is a 1-wide, dual-left LocalBus extender for Emerson DeltaV S-series carriers. It lengthens the 12 VDC LocalBus ribbon so additional I/O carriers can be mounted side-by-side while keeping the 500 kbps bus speed unchanged. The module is keyed “left-hand” only; the mirror right-hand version is KJ4010X1-BG1 12P0830X072.

• Hot-swap: NOT supported—power must be removed before insertion/removal

Installation Quick-Check

Ø Power down the rack – NB1 is NOT hot-swappable.

Ø Snap extender onto left side of source carrier until key latches.

Ø Route LocalBus ribbon (max 6.5 m total) to next carrier; secure with cable clamp.

Ø Power up; verify “ACTIVE” LED on new carrier = solid green within 5 s.

Ø If LED blinks red, check ribbon orientation and total length ≤ 6.5 m.
