Install Steps

1.

Position The Flashing Plate Under Tile

Open the tiles to a certain space for the Flashing Plate to enter, then cover the tiles.

2.

Install L Feet Onto Flashing Plate & Tile

Install the L Feet on the bump of the Flashing Plate, drill the screw into the roof beam below.

3.

Install Rail On L Feet

Install the Rail on the L Feet, lock the bolt tightly and make sure all Rails are in same level.

4.

Install the solar panel on the Rails with the End Clamp and Mid Clamp, lock the bolt tightly.

  • Flashing Plate with hump
    The Flashing Plate is designed with a little humb upward. It's subtle detail designed to used with rubber for being waterproof. It is a very thin plate but durable enough to offer a long life service.
  • L Foot Mount to Flashing Tile
    The L Foot is designed with corrugated side to strengthen supporting when connected to rails and can be taken as teeth to adjust the height of rail mounting with a long screw hole inside.
  • Flashing Plate Solar Mount
    It' a simple structure dominated with thin flashing plate, which offers both a good & clean looking and also good ability of waterproof.

How far apart should solar roof hooks be placed ?

Generally, the first and last roof hook must be within 0.2m of the end of the mounting rail. The distance between the roof hooks should take many factors into account and the beam distance plays a decisive role as the hooks usually needs to be nailed to the beam.

How high should solar panels be off the roof?

Higher off the roof will tend to have better airflow and keep the panels cooler. Cooler panels will generate more, typically something like 0.4% per deg C. As long as you don't mind the look, and the wind loads are accounted for in the rack design, higher is fine.
