	The IC697RCM711 is a Redundancy Communications Module designed for the GE Fanuc 90-70 series. The IC697RCM711 is a single slot module with five LEDs that emit the status of the board and system. The module is designed to offer a path for a synchronizing message from the active to the backup unit. The IC697RCM711 module is also the route for the transfer of I/O data shared between both units. There are two connecters, one located on the top of module and another on the bottom. The top connector is used for attaching the upstream BTM or BRM, and the bottom connector is not used. The IC697RCM711 module requires 0.7 amps of current and is configured using MS-DOS software. The module features a high speed parallel bus interface and supports configurations that are Hot Standby and Hot Standby CPU Redundancy system constructed.
