Since standalone C programs can be interrupted by other programs and Interrupt blocks, data incoherency within an I/O specification can occur. 

Each individual I/O specification is limited to 2048 bytes, for a maximum of 16KB of input data and 16KB of output data. The 90-70 PLC will ensure the following: • Each byte within an individual I/O specification is coherent with respect to that individual specification.
