Product Description

The handheld antifreeze and battery fluid refractometer is widely used in car maintenance, repair workshops, and battery servicing. This tool helps ensure proper coolant protection in cold climates and accurate assessment of lead-acid battery charge levels.

The RHA-800A model handheld antifreeze and battery acid refractometer has two functions:

1. It measures the concentration percentage and freezing temperature (in ℃) of both ethylene glycol and propylene glycol based automotive antifreeze. The readings indicate the concentration of the measured solution and the temperature at which it starts to freeze.
2. It measures the specific gravity (SG) of battery fluid. Specific gravity is the density ratio of battery fluid to water, which is used to indicate the charging state of lead - acid batteries. The higher the specific gravity value, the more fully the battery is charged.
