Oxymetholone is an anabolic steroid, which is a man-made form of a hormone similar to testosterone.

Oxymetholone works by rising the amount of the hormone (erythropoietin) combined in the fabrication of red blood cells. This preparations does not enhance athletic capacity. 1 to 5 mg per kg per day orally.
