Function : Provides the interface between the expander and controller chassis, utilizing fault-tolerant HIFT TMR architecture.
Diagnostics : Comprehensive diagnostics allow for rapid fault identification.
Standby Support : Supports both automatic and manual repair strategies with standby module configuration.
Connection : Connected to expander interface modules via TC-301 hot link cable and T8312 expander interface adapter.
Data Transfer : Operates at a data transfer rate of 250Mbps.
Power Supply : Powered by dual redundant +24V DC from the expander chassis backplane.
LED Indicators :
Healthy : Three LEDs indicate slice health (green = healthy, red = fault).
Active/Standby : Green when in active mode; steady green in standby mode.
TxRx : Three LEDs indicate communication activity (green = receive, red = transmit, amber = both, off = no activity/failure).
Cable : TC-301 communications cable connects controller and expander assemblies.
