The INNIS01 Network Interface Slave Module (NIS) and the INNIPM01 Network Processing Module (NPM) make up a process control unit interface. 

This process control unit interface provides control modules in a process control unit with access to an INFI-NET® communication system. This instruction explains process control unit interface features, specifications and operation. It also includes installation and troubleshooting procedures for each module. 

The system engineer or technician using this interface should read and understand this instruction before installing any modules. In addition, a complete understanding of the INFI 90® system is beneficial.

The process control unit interface is made up of the INNIS01 Network Interface Slave Module (NIS) and INNPM01 Network Processing Module (NPM). Through this interface the process control unit has access to INFI-NET. At the same time the NPM module communicates with the control modules via the Controlway.
