Outdoor mobile STATCOM

ZDDQ Outdoor Mobile STATCOM is a modular system from 6kv to 35kv, supplies reactive power to distribution grids with high regulating dynamics, and carries out regulating tasks such as voltage regulation or influencing the flow of reactive power.



OVERVIEW of HV SVG/STATCON

ZD-HVSVG series ourdoor mobile STATCOM using IGBT as the core power modules which can quickly and continuously provide capacitive or inductive reactive power, achieve constant reactive power, constant voltage and constant power factor control through the assessment point, and ensure the power grid is running stable, high efficiency and high quality. In the power distribution network, the small capacity HV SVG/ STATCOM can significantly improve the power quality (improve the power factor, overcome phase imbalance, eliminate voltage flicker and fluctuation, restraining harmonic), if it is installed in some special loads (such as electric arc furnace).

HV SVG/STATCOM  products use advanced instantaneous reactive power theory and power decoupling algorithm as the theory foundation, and adopt many technology such as modern power electronics, automation, micro-electronics and network communication. It can set reactive power nature and size, power factor and grid voltage as the control target, track power quality dynamically, adjust reactive power output, achieve setting curve and improve power quality.

■Better control for power grids, better load compensation, better power factor improvement

SVG/STATCOM increase system stability and power quality by providing voltage control and support, reactive power control, power oscillation damping, and increased power transfer capacity. STATCOM enables electro-intensive industrial processes to obtain a grid connection by controlling flicker level, harmonic voltage distortion, and voltage unbalance. STATCOM also allows renewables to be connected to the grid in compliance with grid code requirements by providing fault ride through support and voltage control.

Optimal stability and quality

SVG/STATCOM is geared to quickly inject significant inductive or capacitive power. Thus the STATCOM provides improved dynamic stability of transmission systems to reduce the risk of voltage collapse and blackout while avoiding deterioration of the power quality due to its multilevel configuration: generating unwanted harmonics is widely avoided.

Harmonics generation is low due to the use of MMC technology, resulting also in low noise emissions.
