* The Indramat DKC01.3-100-7-FW drive is in the Type 3 family of Ecodrives. These servo drives offered an updated alternative to the Type 1 Ecodrive, and boasted versatility for use in a wide range of applications. The Type 3 Ecodrive series featured a couple of significant improvements over the Type 1 series.

* The first key improvement with the Type 3 series is the external firmware module. Type 1 DKC drives have built-in firmware that must be disassembled to change. External firmware allows for quick and seamless replacement and reconfiguration.

* The other important feature that set the Type 3 Ecodrive family apart from Type 1 drives is the modular I/O (BGR card). This allowed for a single spare drive power section with multiple I/O, which eliminates the need for multiple spare drives.

* Indramat DKC01.3-100-7-FW drive is the 100 ampere version. Indramat also offered Type 3 drives in a 40 amp and a 200 amp rating.
