The AI835/AI835A Analog Input, Thermocouple/mV Module has 8 differential inputs for TC/mV measurements. One channel (channel 8) can be configured for “Cold Junction” (ambient) temperature measurement, thus serving as the CJchannel for the other channels on the module. 

All 8 channels can be used if noCJtemperature measurement is needed. The inputs can be connected to a variety of thermocouples with the following characteristics: B, C, E, J, K, N, R, S and T also D, L and U for AI835A.
