Gray-black powder with a relative density of 0.3 g/cm3 and a melting point of 2200 °C. Insoluble in water, anti-oxidation, thermal shock resistance, chemical resistance, especially high thermal strength and stability under thermal shock.
Application of boron silicide powder:
1. Adding powder metallurgy and cemented carbide to improve strength, hardness and heat resistance
2. Use in aerospace carbon-carbon composites to improve the ablation resistance and high temperature strength of composites
3. Engineering ceramics, sealing structural parts
4. Refractory antioxidants
Storage conditions:
boron silicide powder should be sealed and stored in a dry and cool environment. It should not be exposed to the air for a long time, to prevent agglomeration due to moisture, affecting the dispersion performance and use effect, and should avoid heavy pressure, do not contact with oxidant, and transport according to ordinary goods.
