Usage:
Under no circumstances should the capsules be heated above 300° C. Any application requiring the heating beyond 200° C or where gaseous decomposition products may be generated should first be tested outside of the instrument. Always use guard ring inserts in conjunction with the sealed capsules.
Pans contain the sample in a sealed environment throughout an experiment. The sealing suppresses the vaporization of a solvent or contains a volatile reaction product, thereby eliminating the interfering effects of the heat of vaporization.
