TRICONEX 3008N MP module

What it is
The 3008N is the brain of every Tricon v9.6 (and later) Safety Instrumented System.
Three 3008N units work in Triple-Modular-Redundancy (TMR) inside the same chassis; a two-out-of-three vote guarantees that a single hardware fault never compromises the safety function.

· Motorola MPC860 32-bit 50 MHz core

· 25 Mbps TriBus for I/O synchronization

· 16 MB DRAM (no battery), 32 KB battery-backed SRAM, 6 MB Flash-PROM

· Consumes only 10 W – stays within the 175 W worst-case power budget of one supply at 60 °C
