MicroNet™ 040/060 CPU Module Obsolescence
The CPU 040/060 Modules were used as the main processor for NetCon™/MicroNet platforms until the early 2000’s, and on the 040 TMR product line until 2009. This functionality has been replaced by newer CPUs, and the old designs are no longer feasible to produce due to component obsolescence.
Converting a MicroNet system to the new CPUs will require application software updates and may require I/O module updates. See MicroNet Plus product specification 03333 and product manuals 26166V1 & 26166V2 for information on the replacement modules.
