It is a GuardLogix Controller with 478 KB I-O Memory, 2 MB User Memory, 128000 Maximum I-O, 4000 Maximum Analog I-O, 128000 Maximum Digital I-O, and 3.5 Watts Power Dissipation.

Controllers have a rooted Ethernet port for direct connectivity to Ethernet-equipped devices as well as networks and they support communication interface modules in the local chassis.

They are also capable of monitoring and controlling I/O across the ControlLogix backplane and above the network links.
