The RHA-503FA handheld coolant and battery fluid refractometer can be used to measure the freezing temperature (in ℉) of automotive antifreezes based on ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, automotive windshield cleaning fluids, and the specific gravity (SG) of battery fluids. The measurement parameters are shown in the following table.

Product Description

The handheld coolant, battery fluid, and windshield cleaner refractometer is widely used in car maintenance, repair workshops, and battery servicing. This tool helps ensure proper coolant protection in cold climates and accurate assessment of lead-acid battery charge levels.

The RHA-503FA handheld antifreeze and Battery acid refractometer has three functions:

  1. It measures the freezing point temperature (in ℉) of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol - based automotive antifreeze. The reading indicates the temperature at which the tested solution starts to freeze.
  2. It measures the freezing point temperature of windshield cleaning fluid. The reading indicates the temperature at which the tested solution starts to freeze.
  3. It measures the specific gravity (SG) of battery fluid. Specific gravity is the density ratio of battery fluid to water, used to indicate the charging state of lead - acid batteries. The higher the specific gravity value, the more fully charged the battery is.
