General Description

Christmas tree is an assembly of valves, spools, and fittings used to regulate the flow of pipes in an oil well. According to the structure, the assembly can be divided into solid block type and split type. The split Christmas tree usually consists of the main valve, wax remover, manual flat valves, manual choke valves, small four-ways, globe valves, pressure indicators and other components. Located at the tubing head, the Xmas tree works to regulate the pressure and producing rate of the wellhead; induce the oil or gas to the pipelines; close the wellhead, carry out acid fracturing or remove wax in necessity. Connected by API gaskets rings, which favorable to installment, the tree enjoys excellent and reliable performance. The entire plant is designed and manufactured in strict accordance with the latest API 6A to ensure that it meets the requirements of the customer.

Functions

Christmas Tree is the primary equipment for controlling and regulating oil and gas production at the top of oil and gas wells, and can be used in oil exploration projects in flowing wells and pumping wells.

1. The primary function of a tree is to control the flow, usually oil or gas, out of the well. 

2. A tree may also be used to control the injection of gas or water into a non-producing well in order to enhance production rates of oil from other wells.

3. Functionality may be extended further by using the control system on a subsea tree to monitor, measure, and react to sensor outputs on the tree or even down the well bore. 


Structure Features

Part A Casing Head Assembly
Casing Head Assembly, which consists of body, casing hanger and seals,are installed in the lower end of wellhead equipment and used to connect casing string and various wellhead equipment parts. Casing head there supports the weight of casing and production string; seal off annular space between the casings, and provide fitter connection for installation of the BOP,tubing head and Christmas tree.

Part B Tubing Head Assembly 
Tubing Head Assembly, which consists of tubing head, spool,tubing hanger, and seals, is installed on the upper end of the casing head. Tubing hanger is used to support a tubing string in a tubing head and seal off the annual space between the tubing string and production casing. Tubing head spool is used in positive and reverse circulation well clean-up; observe casing pressure and carry out work through the annual space between the tubing string and casing string.

Part C Christmas Tree Assembly 
Christmas tree are installed on the upper end of the tubing head. The tree, consists of gate valve,choke valve, tee/cross, flange and Christmas tree cap,is used to control and regulate the well production,absorb the ail or gas in the well into the pipeline, and carry out the installation and remave of wellhead tools.
