Dongfeng Mengshi M50 was originally a family of 4×4 Infantry mobility vehicle/MRAPV/off-road vehicles developed for Police Enforcement Truck. Early generations of the vehicle are built with imported Hummer H1 chassis, while later generations of the vehicles are of indigenous design. Dongfeng Mengshi M50 generally follows the trend of American military requirements. The truck mounted with D4.0 NS6 B195 with 143kw / 195HP diesel engine and maximum torque 600N.m.

Dongfeng MENGSHI M50 has been upgraded to the latest emission standards while retaining the structural design of the military chassis to the greatest extent possible. Therefore, the Mengshi M50 inherits the high off-road performance of the military, but also has the military-grade quality. The military vehicle predecessor of Dongfeng Mengshi M50 has been used in many applications. At present, it has provided a series of modified chassis for many domestic emergency rescue teams, telecommunications, police security and other units. In the entire Mengshi spectrum, DONGFENG Mengshi M50 is a medium-sized off-road chassis with a maximum load of 2.46T (full load total weight 6T) and 195 horsepower. It can be used as a chassis for mobile advance, transportation commuting, communication command and other vehicles.

 

The strong environmental adaptability of Mengshi M50 is the guarantee of its wide use. M50 can run normally in an environment of -35°~41° and an altitude of 4500m +. The front and rear axles are each equipped with a Torsen differential and full-time four-wheel drive function, which can adapt to many complex terrains.

The DONGFENG Mengshi M50 has an unparalleled terrain passability with its excellent military specification design. The M50 can cross obstacles up to 400mm vertically, cross trenches up to 700m horizontally, have a maximum wading depth of 1.2m, and approach/departure angles of 45°/35°.

The Dongfeng Mengshi M50 uses Dongfeng's self-produced 4.0T diesel engine with a peak torque of 600N∙m. When fully loaded, the M50 has a maximum speed of 120km/h, a maximum climbing grade of 60%, and a maximum side slope of 40%.

The Dongfeng Mengshi M50 has a longitudinal modification space of more than 2.5m and a load-bearing capacity of 2.46T. It also has reserved interfaces for power, electricity, and air extraction. And the truck can be easily customized as Police Enforcement Truck.
