A fire gate valve is a type of valve that moves the gate plate (wedge-shaped or parallel) perpendicularly to the direction of water flow by rotating the handwheel, which drives the valve stem to rise and fall. When the gate is fully lifted, the passage is unobstructed and the water flow resistance is extremely small. When the gate plate fully drops, it tightly combines with the sealing surface of the valve seat, achieving complete cutting off of the water flow.

Rising stem gate valve: The valve stem nut is on the handwheel. When the handwheel is rotated, the valve stem moves up and down accordingly. The advantage is that it is convenient to quickly identify whether the valve is in the open state.

Concealed stem gate valve: The valve stem nut is inside the valve body. When the handwheel rotates, the valve stem only rotates without rising or falling, and the gate moves up and down inside the valve body. The advantage is that it has a small opening height and is suitable for occasions with limited installation space, but the opening and closing status cannot be visually determined.

 • Bidirectional flow: Gate valves have no restrictions on the flow direction of the medium, and the medium can pass through in both directions
