How to use the ISUZU GIGA fire fighting truck correctly?

1. Preparation and inspection before operation

 

Power system pre-inspection: Check the 6UZ1 engine before starting daily. The oil level must be kept at the center line of the dipstick (API CI-4 or above), the coolant level (ethylene glycol-based long-term antifreeze), and the air filter clogging indicator status (pressure difference > 25kPa requires replacement).

 

Pre-inspection of water system: Inspect 8000L water tankdrain residual water to prevent freezing (in winter), monthly biofilm test on inner wall (ATP test <50RLU), accuracy of water injection filter device (≥200 mesh).

 

Fire pump verification: Confirm before starting, vacuum pump sealing (vacuum degree reaches -85kPa within 30 seconds), water outlet pressure sensor calibration (error <±0.2MPa), foam proportion mixer accuracy test (±1%).

2. Operational Specifications during Operation Phase

 

Power system management: Engine running, idle preheating after cold start (water temperature ≥50℃ can be loaded), continuous working cycle ≤4 hours requires shutdown for cooling (intercooler temperature monitoring), overspeed is prohibited (≤2300rpm is the red line zone).

Water system operation: When using the fire water pump, ensure that the pipeline valve opening is ≥30% before starting, and the working pressure is controlled in stages (normal pressure stage ≤1.0MPa, boost stage ≤1.8MPa). If the continuous operation time is ≤2 hours, the standby pump needs to be switched.

3. Key points of periodic maintenance

 

Power system maintenance: Maintenance is carried out every 500 hours of use, including diesel filter replacement (with oil-water separation function), EGR valve carbon deposit cleaning (ultrasonic cleaning), and turbocharger axial clearance detection (standard value 0.03-0.08mm).

Water system maintenance: Every quarter, the inside of the tank is cleaned under high pressure (≥10MPa), the check valve is tested for sealing (leakage rate <0.1L/min), and the pipeline is pulse tested (maintained at 1.5 times the working pressure).

Structural parts inspection: Every six months, the frame welds are inspected by magnetic particle inspection (with a focus on the rear suspension connection), the leaf spring U-bolts are torqued back (standard torque ±5%), and the drive shaft universal joint clearance is measured (angular clearance <15°).
