Overview
Medium Voltage (MV) Power Cables are used in 6–35 kV distribution networks to deliver electricity from substations to industrial plants, commercial buildings, and municipal loads. XLPE insulation is commonly adopted for its excellent electrical performance, thermal endurance, and aging resistance. Options include armoured or non-armoured constructions, flame-retardant or fire-resistant designs, and comprehensive shielding systems to suit different installation environments.
Typical voltage ratings: 6/10 kV, 8.7/15 kV, 12/20 kV, 18/30 kV, 26/35 kV
Conductors: Copper or aluminum, round/sector, compacted
Insulation: XLPE (typical), EPR optional
Shielding: Conductor/insulation semi-conductive screens + metallic screen (Cu wires/tape)
Mechanical protection: Steel tape armour (STA) or steel wire armour (SWA)
Outer sheath: PVC, PE, or LSZH
Applications: Utility distribution, industrial parks, municipal infrastructure, rail transit, data centers
Standards: GB/T12706.1-2020~GB/T12706.3-2020.We also can use the lEC60502 standard for production according to the requirement of the customer.
