Pipe hangers and accessories are components of a pipe support system designed to carry the weight of the pipe and its contents (fluid, gas), control movement, and manage stress in a piping system. They are critical for the safety, longevity, and proper operation of any piping installation.

How to choose the appropriate type of support and hanger for my piping system? 

 • Rigid support: It is used for general fixed support of pipes without vertical or horizontal displacement (such as water supply risers).

 • Spring support: It is used for pipes with vertical thermal displacement (such as steam pipes and hot water pipes) to prevent stress caused by thermal expansion and contraction from damaging equipment interfaces. 

 • Seismic supports: They are used for all fire protection pipelines and key mechanical and electrical pipelines, and are a mandatory requirement in building seismic design. They are used to prevent the collapse of pipeline systems during earthquakes.

 • Load-bearing capacity: It supports the weight of the pipe itself, the medium inside the pipe (water, chemicals, gases), the insulation layer, and the valve.

 • Prevent displacement: Restrict the movement of pipelines caused by thermal expansion and contraction (thermal displacement), pressure or external forces (such as earthquakes, wind loads), and guide them in a safe direction.

 • Vibration control: Absorb and isolate vibrations generated by equipment such as pumps and compressors to prevent vibration from being transmitted to the building structure and reduce noise.

 • Prevent sagging: Ensure that the pipes maintain the correct slope to avoid water accumulation or air blockage at low points. This is particularly crucial for drainage systems and steam systems.

 • Protect the pipeline: Prevent wear and tear between the pipeline and the supporting structure, and provide appropriate insulation intervals.
