The TYCO type ESFR-17 dry nozzle is an early suppression rapid response nozzle with a nominal K coefficient of 16.8. They are suppression mode nozzles, which are particularly beneficial for eliminating rack-mounted nozzles when protecting high-stack box-type refrigerated storage areas.
The ESFR-17 dry sprinkler is composed of ESFR nozzles, which are permanently fixed on the nozzle and feature slotted and threaded inlet connections. The drip between the inlet and the nozzle remains dry until the nozzle operates. It is allowed to install the nozzle on the wet nozzle system, and the dry drip and nozzle are located in the freezing temperature area.
