UL FM Grooved Flange

 • Welded-free connection: No welding is required near the equipment, protecting it from thermal damage and welding slag, making installation safer.

 • Simplified calibration: The flexibility at the groove end allows for a certain degree of deflection, making the alignment of flange bolt holes very easy and eliminating the need for a cumbersome calibration process.

 • Stress absorption: It can be used as a small flexible joint to absorb the stress caused by the vibration and thermal expansion and contraction of equipment (such as water pumps), protecting the equipment interface.

Q：Is the gasket at the flange end included in the product? What material of gasket should I choose?

A：To offer maximum flexibility, gaskets are usually provided as optional accessories separately.

 

Q：How much time can I save by using grooved flanges compared with traditional welded flanges?

A：It can usually save more than 75% of the installation time. Traditional welding requires multiple processes such as grinding, centering, welding, cooling and painting. The installation of grooved flanges only takes a few minutes, without the need for a hot work permit or waiting for cooling. Pressure tests can be conducted immediately, significantly shortening the project duration.
